Personnel is a company’s most valuable asset. This year, SAIM SpA has taken significant steps forward on this journey, achieving the prestigious UNI/PdR 125:2022 Certification for Gender Equality.
The Certification was issued in February by IMQ, confirms SAIM’s commitment to implementing an equal opportunity policy for all employees and pursuing the values-goals regarding women in managerial positions.
“This certification recognizes the policies and practices implemented by our organization to promote a fair working environment where every individual, regardless of gender, has equal opportunities for professional growth and development. This commitment is deeply held by the proprietary family” said Massimo Donà, President of SAIM Spa.
“Management and ownership play a pivotal role in ensuring all staff receive equitable treatment and have access to equal opportunities for professional growth,” said Letizia Fiamenghi, CFO of SAIM and member of the Board of Directors. “The aspiration is that in the future gender equality and inclusivity as fundamental tenets will no longer be a topic of discussion.”
Moving forward, SAIM will implement training programs and track progress through KPIs covering governance, HR processes, pay equity, parental protection, and work-life balance.
By joining the Fondazione Libellula network (an Italian non-profit organization pursuing the elimination of discrimination based on gender, ethnic origin, religion, belief, affective orientation) SAIM underscores its commitment to fostering an equitable and respectful culture, a commitment that Elena Fumia, SAIM Group HR manager who coordinated the certification process, highlighted “as a daily undertaking with the assurance that the outcomes will have a positive external impact”.
