SteerCommand uses a patented electronic feedback system specially designed by ZF Marine, which makes the steering feel identical to luxury car steering systems.

SteerCommand, governed by ZF’s SmartCommand electronic control system, includes a Helm Unit that sends the wheel position to the SmartCommand processor, which, based on further calculations, sends via CAN bus to the linear actuator, the position the rudder should take.

The entire system is designed for heavy loads and has been proven to operate continuously, is safe and reliable, and guarantees maximum performance in the harshest conditions.

Rudder steering is very easy to handle, allowing maneuvering safely at any speed.
