SeaDrive AS is a Norwegian company with unique expertise in maritime technology and innovation and holds unique competences within maritime technology. Its products consist of state-of-the-art solutions within electric motors, modular submersible POD concept, motor controllers, steering systems, battery management systems and battery technology.
By adding the SeaDrive POD propulsion system to your existing petrol or diesel engine, you can sail at low speed just using clean electric power with no noise or exhaust smell. For sailboats or boats up to 8/10 m in size, the SeaDrive POD can be a valuable alternative to traditional endothermic propulsion.

As a response to the market’s increasing demand for green propulsion, SAIM Marine introduces the SeaDrive electric POD.
The main parts of the PODs are made of bronze, the best material for long life and resistant against saltwater corrosion.
Being modular, the POD unit can be used in multiple ways, for example: the standardized lower unit and upper unit allow the same basic POD to be used for all applications by simply changing the shafts, keels and mounting brackets.The pod unit can be used to both push and pull, and as a sail drive with foldable propeller.
Since the 7.5 kW, 15 kW and 30 kW versions all have the same interface, here’s a single design for each of the versions.
SeaDrive’s electric PODs can fit almost any type of boat, are quiet and do not pollute the environment, so they can also be used in protected marine environments.
