Hydromaster is a long-established Dutch company specializing in the development and production of heavy-duty steerable propulsion devices and thrusters for medium to large commercial vessels. Recently, high-speed azimuth PODs for commercial and pleasure boats have also been added to the Hydromaster range.
Appreciated for its design and robust materials and construction, Hydromaster is currently on-board hundreds of ferries, barges, pontoons around the world and has satisfactorily supplied armed forces, marine contractors and dredging and shipping companies. The systems - state-of-the-art in their field - can be applied to diesel, hybrid diesel-electric or full electric engines.
Originally designed for working vessels, Hydromaster 360-degree steerable thrusters are also ideal for leisure boats. Available in Z and L drive configurations with electric or hydraulic steering. The units can be driven by different power sources and supplied as a full propulsion package complete with diesel engine, electric or hydraulic drive systems. Hydromaster propulsion units are available in a power range of 50 to 850 kW and meet the requirements of all major classification societies.
