Bonomi Srl has chosen SAIM Marine to distribute its JOY product range: cleats with built-in capstans that facilitate every phase of docking. The agreement, signed in the first few days of this new year, provides for exclusive distribution in Italy. This once again reaffirms the SAIM Group's mission: the continuous pursuit of innovative, high-quality products for the recreational boating market.
JOY is a patented range of cleats with built-in capstan designed to facilitate mooring manoeuvres, as it reduces the effort of pulling the ropes and, above all, of having to secure them to the cleat with the ropes under tension.
The Joy system integrates a simple, freely rotating pulley on one side and a self-locking pulley, similar to that of a capstan, on the other. Joy combines all the functions required by a crew member during port maneuvers in a single device. Joy eliminates the need for capstan winches, often found on superyachts, and facilitates final attachment of the mooring line thanks to the mechanical seal in the self-tailing pulley.
Joy, made of 316L stainless steel, is available with nominal pull capacities of 80, 100, 300, 400, and 500 kg, with a 12V or 24V electric motor, for mooring lines from 15 to 35 mm, for boats from 30 to 120 feet, and is equipped with a single- or double-foot pedal for placement on the deck. The 400 and 500 Kg nominal pull models are available only with a 24V motor and come standard with a double foot pedal and control box.
